This March, take part in the hardest, most rewarding running and fitness challenge series of your life. In honour of the US Special Forces, each challenge has been inspired by actual Delta Force selection tests. Choose your entry-level and pit yourself against four weekly challenges to discover what you're truly made of.

Please note that this challenge series is in no way associated with any military organisation. This event is not intended to provide an authentic military experience. The running and fitness challenges therein have merely taken inspiration from selection tests in honour of our armed forces.

How it works is really simple

  • 1. Create Free Account

    Prior to the start date, create a free Rokman account. It takes less time than it does to do five burpees.

  • 2. Track Your Attempts

    Track your runs with your go-to fitness tracker (e.g. Strava, Garmin) and film any required strength workouts with your camera.

  • 3. Submit Your Evidence

    Upload your evidence to our submission form for review, verification and scoring. Easy.

Who are Delta Force?

Delta Force is a special forces outfit operating for the United States of America, however, the US Government has never confirmed or denied their existence. Undeniably, they do exist and even their physical selection process is barely known to the public.

Their selection process takes place twice a year, once in March and once in September, lasting 4-weeks. During the course, instructors are looking for recruits who bear both incredible strength and endurance, a hybrid athlete that is crossed between a strongman and a marathon runner.

Week 1: Pre-Selection Fitness Tests

(1) 2-Mile run for time
(2) Push-ups in 1-min
(3) Sit-ups in 1-min
(4) Inverted Crawl

Week 2: UBRR

5-Mile Ruck for time

Advanced: 20kg
Intermediate: 15kg
Moderate: 10kg
Novice: 5kg

Week 3: Speed

Endurance run for time

Advanced: 18-Miles
Intermediate: 14-Miles
Moderate: 10-Miles
Novice: 6-Miles

Week 4: The Long Walk

Weekly distance accumulation

Advanced: 40-Miles
Intermediate: 30-Miles
Moderate: 20-Miles
Novice: 10-Miles

Delta Force's physical testing ends with a 40-mile (64 km) march to be completed for time; this is also colloquially known as "The Long Walk".

Completion points are awarded for achieving the set distance within the week. Bonus points are awarded for the least number of workouts it takes to achieve the target.
