HOW IT WORKS

This is an online challenge series, meaning that you take part from your own location in your own time. How it works is really simple:
  • 1. Create Free Account

    Prior to the start date, create a free Rokman account. It takes less time than it does to do five burpees.

  • 2. Track Your Attempts

    Track your runs with your go-to fitness tracker (e.g. Strava, Garmin) and film any required strength workouts with your camera.

  • 3. Submit Your Evidence

    Upload your evidence to our submission form for review, verification and scoring. Easy.

Who are the US Navy SEALs?

The US Navy Sea, Air, and Land (SEAL) Teams are the US Navy's primary special operations force and a component of the Naval Special Warfare Command.

SEALs have a notorious reputation for undergoing some of the most intense basic training known to mankind. To become a SEAL, recruits must first pass BUD/S - Basic Underwater Demolition / SEAL Training; an extremely demanding training course that tests them both physically and mentally. The requirements for passing teach test becomes more intense as you progress through the phases of training, hense the SEAL motto "the only easy day was yesterday".

Week 1: Assessment

1 - 1.5-Mile Run for Time
2 - Sit-ups in 2 minutes

Assignment to Navy SEAL training, BUD/S, is conditional on the SEAL Physical Screening Test (PST). For week 1, we require participants to complete two separate challenges, a best-effort 1.5-mile run for time and as many sit-ups as possible in 2 minutes.

Week 2: Prep School

1 - 4-Mile Run for Time
2 - Push-ups in 2 minutes

Navy SEAL training begins at Naval Special Warfare Preparatory School. Here, recruits are given a crash course in the physical standards required to even attempt to become a SEAL, being required to pass a number of Physical Screening Tests (PST), including a timed 4-mile run and as many push-ups as possible in 2 minutes

Week3: Hell Week

Miles in a Week Challenge

Advanced: 40-Miles
Intermediate: 30-Miles
Moderate: 20-Miles
Novice: 10-Miles

BUD/S orientation culminates with a week known as "Hell Week", where candidates participate in five and a half days of continuous training with little to no sleep. For the Rokman challenge series, you are tasked with accumulating a set number of miles run within the week, with bonus points for every workout started before 6am.

Week 4: Final PST

Endurance Run for Time

Advanced: 14-Miles
Intermediate: 11-Miles
Moderate: 8-Miles
Novice: 6-Miles

In the final stage of selection, recruits need to complete a Modified Physical Screening Test (PST) which includes a final long-distance run. Complete this physical fitness test and you have passed the series.
